Privacy notice

Last updated: 15 May 2026

This notice explains how we handle the personal information you give us when you join the early access list at getmeg.io. It is written in plain English, and is meant to be short enough to actually read.

Who's responsible

MEG is an early-stage project run by Camilla Enge and Prince Oguguo, based in Copenhagen, Denmark. A Danish company is in the process of being incorporated; once it is, this notice will be updated with the registered company details.

If you have any questions about this notice or want to exercise any of the rights below, email hello@getmeg.io.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we collect:

  • Your email address — required, so we can contact you about access.
  • Your name, institution and role — optional, but helpful so we can prioritise outreach and address you properly when we reply.

We don't set cookies, run analytics scripts, or use third-party trackers on this site.

Why we collect it

We use the information you give us to:

  • Add you to the early access waitlist for MEG.
  • Email you when access opens up, with directly relevant product news in the meantime.
  • Reply to questions you send us.

We will not add you to a general marketing list, share your details for advertising, or sell your data to anyone.

Legal basis

Submitting the form is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by replying to any of our emails with "unsubscribe" or writing to hello@getmeg.io.

Who else sees your data

We use a small set of service providers to run the site and the waitlist. They process your data on our behalf and aren't allowed to use it for their own purposes:

  • HubSpot, Inc. (USA) — stores your waitlist entry and sends our emails. International transfers covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Zoho Corporation (USA / India) — hosts our email inbox at getmeg.io. International transfers covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Netlify, Inc. (USA) — hosts this website.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — manages our domain.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist entry until MEG launches publicly, plus a further 12 months — so that if you signed up but haven't activated yet, we can still reach out. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we'll remove it within 30 days.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Get a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Have your data deleted.
  • Restrict or object to how we use it.
  • Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these, email hello@getmeg.io. We'll respond within 30 days.

You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet, if you think we've mishandled your data.

No automated decisions

We don't make any automated decisions about you based on this data.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is material we'll email everyone on the waitlist before it takes effect.
